IEICE Transaction on Communications: Editor's Message
نویسنده
چکیده
I knew that a large proportion of what we write is not read by anyone, except those we force to read it. Although it is a little bit painful to know that only a few people is reading this section:-), as a new Editor-in-Chief I have to mention that our IEICE Transactions of Communications are entering a new era based on changes successfully begun by previous editorial team. The team started IEICE online on April 2006, reduced the time to publication, established new awards, and invited distinguished researchers to contribute to our transaction.

IEICE Transactions on Communications: Editor's Message
I am pleased to take on the job of Editor-in-Chief for the IEICE Transactions on Communications. The IEICE Transactions on Communications is now in excellent shape. We received more than 1,200 original submissions in 2009, slight increase over 2008. More than 80% submissions were from outside Japan, including Korea, China and USA. Acceptance ratio for papers was less than 30%. On behalf of a co...
متن کاملA New Approach for Distributed Main Memory Database Systems: A Causal Commit Protocol
Distributed database systems require a commit process to preserve the ACID property of transactions executed on a number of system sites. With the appearance of main memory database system, the database processing time has been reduced in the order of magnitude, since the database access does not incur any disk access at all. However, when it comes to distributed main memory database systems, t...
متن کاملSignature Scheme in Multi-User Setting
Recently, Boneh and Boyen proposed a new provably secure short signature scheme under the q-strong Diffie-Hellman assumption without random oracles. This scheme is based on bilinear map which is different from Cramer-Shoup signature scheme (which is based on the strong RSA assumption). However, Tan [17] showed that BonehBoyen scheme is subjected to key substitution attacks in the multi-user set...
متن کاملLower Isolation Levels in Distributed Transactions
We extend the notion of connicting actions within transaction schedules and derive a deenition of connict serializability. Phenomenon based deenitions of isolation have been presented inn1]]2]. We discuss these and derive similar deenitions for distributed schedules. We model a simple distributed database and show how the lower level of transaction isolation READ COMMITTED can be raised to full...
متن کاملROCKET: A Robust Parallel Algorithm for Clustering Large-Scale Transaction Databases
We propose a robust and efficient algorithm called ROCKET for clustering large-scale transaction databases. ROCKET is a divisive hierarchical algorithm that makes the most of recent hardware architecture. ROCKET handles the cases with the small and the large number of similar transaction pairs separately and efficiently. Through experiments, we show that ROCKET achieves high-quality clustering ...
